Companion Service

We are excited to announce that the National Grief Advice Service is now offering a Companion Service to those who are suffering from grief. This service is designed to provide a safe, supportive space for people to talk about their feelings and emotions during a difficult time.

Unlike counselling, which is focused on therapeutic support, our Companion Service offers individuals the opportunity to connect with our trained volunteers who are there to simply listen, provide a sense of companionship, and offer understanding. This service can be accessed nationally via phone or video call, or face-to-face at our Grief Wellbeing Centre in Grantham.

This service is not limited by the number of calls – we understand that grief doesn’t follow a set schedule, and sometimes, people just need someone to talk to when they’re ready. Think of it as a friend who is there when you need them most.

In addition to the Companion Service, we also offer one-on-one counselling and Grief Groups for those who may need additional professional support.

If you would like to take advantage of this new companion service, part of our "Growing Around Grief" initiative, please fill in the form, and a member of our team will get in touch to arrange a suitable time for your call.

Remember, you are not alone, and we’re here to help you navigate through grief with support, care, and understanding.
