Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire
I’m Anita and I am a funeral celebrant based on the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border. I grew up in Hemel Hempstead, but I have lived pretty much all over West Herts, Including Watford and St. Albans.

I have worked with lots of people around me all my working career, in hotels and in an MOT and servicing garage.

I am an inquisitive person by nature and love to listen and gain insights into other people's lives. This stands me in good stead to create and deliver crafted and bespoke ceremonies that totally encapsulate the person we are honouring. People fascinate me, and there's nothing more rewarding than listening to a life story and retelling it in such a meaningful and poignant way, that guests at the service believe you knew the person personally.

I started to look into funeral celebrancy after my father died in 2016. I wrote the ceremony myself and it was so cathartic to do so. I wanted to pass on my experience of my own grief and help other families who find themselves in the same situation, to find comfort during the saddest times of their lives. Death comes to all of us in some way, shape or form and I am grateful to be the celebrant that families turn to help them navigate their way through the toughest of times.
