There are 2 sides to my work. I am a Funeral Celebrant and also a Community Death Educator.

As a funeral celebrant I specialise in working with people to craft entirely bespoke end of life rituals. These might be funerals or memorial services.

Those I work for may be recently bereaved or may be people looking to put plans in place for themselves prior to any sense of illness or following a diagnosis.

The funerals and memorials I create focus on highlighting love and bringing healing. I love telling the story of a person's heart and their life journey. The rituals I create celebrate triumphs, illuminate highlights, recall adventures, and allow space for all the feelings which need to be felt - whatever they might be.

When I was 17 my dad died. I cannot remember a single word spoken at his funeral or even a piece of music that was played. Yet I can vividly recall the feeling of 'he would've loved that' which has stayed with me and has been a little pocket of peace in my heart ever since. More than three decades later I still feel the arms of that comfort and knowing that's something I can help other people to have in their lives too just makes my heart burst.​

I'm super excited to be partnering with NBAS. There is a revolution brewing in the funeral world. Through the work of innovators in the industry, people are beginning to become aware that an end of life ritual can be as unique as the person ever was. We personalise everything else in our lives, funerals are the last (really, really significant) event to be touched by this. Empowering people with information about the funeral choices they can make, and that (most importantly) they are in control of this is phenomenally important, and the more of us who can join up to encourage this change the better.
